Houston-based manufacturer, Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. donated a Cat lift truck model NR4000P to Houston Habitat for Humanity. The organization will use the 4,000 lb capacity reach truck at the Houston Habitat for Humanity ReStore to assist with the lifting and moving of construction materials. The Houston Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a home improvement resale store where items are sold at greatly reduced prices. Open to the public, the store sells both new and like-new materials, and sales proceeds are used in support of the Houston Habitat for Humanity mission. The donation, valued at $28,000, is comparable to underwriting more than 2 days’ worth of construction on a 5-day house build.
